Now married to Jane with a child of his own, Sebastian Flynn Loughman Hewlett born on the 6th October 2007 he lives in the US when not working in Vancouver.  David a self confessed geek began acting
whilst in school with the popular director Vincenzo Natali.
He has remained friends with him still going on to star in popular
movies by the director such as Cube and Nothing. David however is
perhaps best known for his role in the popular sci-fi series Stargate
SG1 then leading to a role in the shows spin off Stargate
Atlantis.
David has not only proved himself as an actor but he has continued to show his skills in other fields in film on his personal projects. One such project is the movie 'A Dogs Breakfast' staring David's atlantis co-star Paul McGillion and younger sister Kate Hewlett. The film was written and directed by David who also found the time to star in the movie. It was produced by his wife Jane Loughman Hewlett and Stargate producer John Lenic.

Davids chosen charity has always been Doctors Without Borders and he has asked on many ocassions that any presents, donations, gifts for David or his family might be sent as a donation to the charity to help others. Doctors Without Borders is an international medical aid agency that work in crisis hit areas, offering help first and often to exclusively to those worst hit. |

was born in Redhill, Surrey, England on the 18th
of April 1968. He is the eldest of six children. When David
was a child his family emigrated to Canada where they continued to
live. After dropping out of school in the senior year he followed a
career in Acting and Computing founding a few web based companies.
