This site is entirely unofficial and in no way associated with David Hewlett it is run for the fans by the fans. The idea for the website came from the original website Random Hewlett Ramblers which, for a number of reasons fell into disrepair therefore demanidng a revamp. Ramblers had been looking to move to a new server and domain name for some time so that was when the decision was made to integrate Ramblers with davidhewlett.biz. Ramblers was to become the fan element of the website detailing fan experiences and reviews and davidhewlett.biz now formed the source for information.

I have been a sci-fi geek since birth, I was either born that way or my parents lead me into it! From an early age I could be found watching Star Trek reruns on sky until I was first introduced to my now favorite fandom at the age of 10. It was Stargate SG1, I had been watching since day one thanks to my Mum's obvious obsession with Richard Dean Anderson. 
This was how I came across David playing Doctor Rodney McKay, he was the character we all loved to hate. When Atlantis was announced I was admittedly a little negative about the spin-off but after one episode I was hooked. Since then I have watched the series throughout as well as meeting members of the cast at conventions across the UK and visiting the sets over in Vancouver. It has been one crazy roller coaster ride! 
The best bit has been following David's work whether it be on film or TV all part of the daily challenges for someone who is supposed to be creating a competent website on the guy. After meeting David first at LFCC I went on to meet him both at Pegasus 2 in London and Vancouver, Creation Con and ADB screening.
